UK and Commonwealth rights (excluding Canada) to John Irving's DARKNESS AS A BRIDE, sold to Kristin Cochrane at Knopf Canada, in a three-book deal, by Dean Cooke of CookeMcDermid. A mother-and-son story and a ghost story, about sexual politics, featuring a competitive slalom racer and her son, a writer; partly set in Aspen, CO, where some of the ghosts are from the days when it was a mining town, is also moving to Ian Chapman at Scribner UK, for publication beginning in 2020.
